<162> Kittens have come: Ok so I don't think I even mentioned this before on here but for weeks now we have been waiting for our new kitten. Our friend Tasha's cat had a litter and we fell in love with these kittens when she brought them over, so we just had to claim one for our own. So we were actually supposed to get our kitten, now finally old enough to come live with us, a few days ago, but Tasha kept saying she'd bring him and then was always a no show. Well finally last night our new kitten arrived, Hobbes, the newest edition to this household. Namrata got one of the kitten's too and since she's always over even though she lives 5 minutes down the street, that means her cat, Calvin - aren't we creative? - will be able to spend a lot of time with his brother. This is good for them, they get into more trouble when they're bored and alone. This way, if they aren't sleeping they can just beat up on each other, it's so cute!! This makes me miss my other pets at home (I have two dogs, Brody and Meiko, and a cat, Misha). But I go home and see them once in awhile, which is better then a lot of people away at college I suppose. Right now Hobbes is sleeping practically on top of Calvin... ahh the cuteness factor with kittens! We've all fallen for these little guys and they've only been here a day. They grow up quick, so you gotta enjoy the kitten factor as much as you can. I got my cats when I was 5 years old, so it's been a very long time since I've raised or been around any kittens, so it's kind of nice.

Anyway, so with this new distraction, we've all determined that we're never going to get any work done ever again, haha. In honor of that, I haven't done any work tonight. I think I deserve a day off actually. I might even head over to my friend's house for a bit, it's been days since I've been over there which may not seem like a long time, but I tend to frequent their place just as much as mine it seems sometimes. We got Chinese tonight for dinner, egg drop soup - yum! I got a good fortune in my cookie too, it said: Good news will come to you from far away - hmm well I could use some good news. I could also use a good night's sleep, which I'll get tonight hopefully since I don't have any work to do for studio and I'm so far behind in my reading for my other class that I've decided it is pointless to read it in detail. We watched the movie last week when I missed class, so my teacher suggested that I rent that and then I figure I'll skim through the remaining pages of the book that I didn't finish and that should work for catching up. But I don't feel like doing that tonight, it wouldn't do me any good anyway, so I'll just see how things go tomorrow first.

I've been meaning to clean up the area underneath my computer desk for some time now. It's a mess of tangled wires, which of course isn't rare when it comes to a computer, but I have so many extra cables for our house cable modem line, router, etc... that my roommates don't have to worry about that mine always looks messier than everyone else's. I also decided it's not safe to have such a tangled mess of wires laying around that probably look oh so appealing to a certain little kitten named Hobbes. It makes me nervous him being back amongst those wires and since I can't watch him 24/7 and I was going to do it anyway I've decided to undertake the cleaning up of the computer wires tonight I think. At least try to do something with some of them. So as soon as I finish this post, I think it's time to shut down and unplug to see what I can do about this. So I think I'll go and do that now. There have been other things going on lately, maybe I'll write about them soon, but not tonight.
