<201> Catching Up: Welcome to the new look - I hope you like it though I have to say it's far from finished... so unlike me to put something half done online, I know... but I've been so anxious to get this live that I just didn't want to wait any longer. Today felt like a good day to do it, I dunno. If you find anything missing or looking less than perfect, bare with me ok? It'll get there, I promise. One good thing about half finished things being online for all the see - it'll kick my butt into gear and make me finish it all that much sooner, maybe even before the weekend is out - we'll see. But not tonight, no - I'm going out. Sorry, you'll just have to wait. Yes, I know you hate it that I have a life outside of the online world sometimes. It does get in the way of progress, but again you'll have to deal with it ;)

So I haven't written in a couple days, mostly because I've been busy and when I have been working on digital things I've been working on this redesign or Sticky Art. I'm also redoing my portfolio site - which has never really been done correctly since it's always been done in a rush for school or what have you. But now I want to do it right, so that'll get finished and go live soon enough too I hope. I also have a TON of new work to show which isn't online yet since I haven't really updated my current portfolio in a good long while. You'll also notice a font size change in these posts. SOME of you who read this semi-regularly kept complaining since your resolutions are too high. Well, lucky for you I have been using this smaller monitor for awhile until I hook my duel monitors back up again - so in honor of everyone's eye sight - font is upped! You're welcome, now you just gotta scroll down THAT much more!

We're going to a friend's show opening tonight. Seems like "everyone who's everyone" will be there - meaning a lot of my friends, probably a bunch of people I haven't seen in awhile... it should be fun though. I've never been to this particular gallery, so that should be interesting to see too. Then we're going out to a bar to play pool, which I don't actually know how to play, so apparently I'm going to learn tonight as well. Fun.

Lately I've been seeing a lot of people I haven't in awhile. I know I've already mentioned what's been happening, catching up with people that are good friends (and not so good). I just keep running into them or happening to talk with them after it's been awhile. But now too what's happening is I'm running into people randomly on the street or in a coffee shop that I also haven't talked to in forever. And it's been really nice. I'm making new friends too in the process... overall it's been really fun the last couple of weeks.

Finally, last night was my company holiday party. Dan and I got all dressed up. This was his first time wearing a suit and he looked sexy in it of course ;) He also didn't complain too much, I was proud of him. Well we got there during the cocktail hour still, I introduced him to the people I work with, met their husbands, wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, etc... made small talk. Then it was time to pick our table... there wasn't assigned seating so me, Dan, Liz (who I work with) and her roommate who she brought, go to sit at an empty table.. at least that's what we thought. Then the head of our HR department comes up to us and says, make sure no one else sits in these empty seats... turns out they were holding those spaces for the HEADS of our company!! Now, our company isn't all that big, especially not since the downsizing, so I have had a few conversations with the son of the father and son company owners... but I still don't know him that well and I doubt he would have picked Liz and I offhand to sit with, but it was definitely an interesting experience. They are both very nice, don't get me wrong, I'm just not used to that kind of situation... being all dressed up and making small talk with people who determine parts of my future and all. But I really had a good time at the party and talking with them too. Liz and I joked that it was going to look like the two youngest girls in the company planned things out that way, which of course we didn't, but it was kind of funny.

So I guess that's all for now, I'm probably going to be updating a lot more soon... at least that's my plan. I feel like I have so many lose ends to tie up in terms of stuff I gotta get done. I'm not so much worried it all won't get finished... it's just a little hectic right now. But I must get going since the show starts in about an hour. Until next time, enjoy the new look, even though it's a little rough. It'll be changing a bit soon and don't be afraid to let me know what you think... unless you think it looks like crap, then don't tell me, well you can tell me, but try not to be too mean ok? ;)
