<202> Ghosts of Lives Past: Lately I've been revisiting things and people from my past a lot. But I don't say "ghosts" in the dead and gone kind, just the kind that went away for awhile, for whatever reason. I find myself doing a lot of things I just haven't been able to for awhile, for one reason or another. I've been talking and spending time with friends I feel like I haven't in ages. It's nice, but it's also weird at times. I think I'm doing it on purpose... I think it's contagious... I hope we all know what we're getting into, you know, everyone being friends again and all (just kidding!). Some friendships don't return so easily for some I know, including ones for myself. I miss the way my life once was sometimes, all the different ways. Going to rock concerts all the time instead of once every 6 months. Hanging out with certain friends and finding it strange not to see each other for a couple days, not a couple months... I know people lose touch over time and you grow out of certain things too. But like I've mentioned before, I think for myself it was for other reasons I left a lot of what used to be such big parts of my life.. and some of it was out of my control and maybe that's why I'm working a bit harder to get it back now. But I'm a different person now too, so I approach a lot of what I do with a new outlook anyway.

Today was a busy day so far, but all for fun things and it's not over yet, I'm just taking a break of sorts to get a little work done (which is obviously why I'm posted instead of working on Sticky Art stuff like I should be - but I thought I had neglected here long enough). I started out by going to artist trading cards, a special session for the Saturday school kids a friend of mine teaches at my <former> college. Then we dropped our stuff off at Concetta's and headed down South St. to the TLA for the Motion City Soundtrack concert. It was A LOT of fun though, I haven't had a concert I could really move and jump around to in a long while. And I haven't been up at the front of the TLA in a long time either, too long of a time if you ask me. It was a 1pm starting show, so I've been back home since 5:30 and I'm not used to having a whole concert and then having part of a day left. I usually come home, make food, and go to bed. But today, well we're essentially out of food, at least, we don't have any food that doesn't require things we are out of to make it... like milk, bread, crackers... anything like that. No we're out. I'm going to go across the street to the store when Dan gets back from feeding a friends cats while he is out of town. I ended up eating part of an alvacado (sp?), some cream cheese, and a veggie hot dog plain. Yeah I know randomness. But I am tired and don't feel like going back out in the cold just yet. Plus we're planning on going out to Copa II later tonight, so I'll probably end up eating some form of dinner there. At least that's my plan. We originally hoped to go out with friends, but they're going someplace rather far away, and it's hard to get out there and back, plus it's really smoky and such, so we're not going to venture that far tonight. I'm disappointed not to see my other friends, especially in keeping with this catching up with old friends thing of mine I'm on lately, but I don't know how much we'd get to talk anyway, as it's mostly a place for dancing and drinking... not talking. So it'll be a more laid back, have a few drinks and talk with close friends kind of night instead, I don't mind that ever, so here's to a good time.

I updated this site with the redesign, but I haven't touched it since, so I'm very sorry about that. I've been kinda busy, so you'll have to just wait a little longer. And, as predicted, I'm already a little sick of it. I don't know how the last design lasted as long as it did, but I just really liked its simpleness for some reason, plus I was preoccupied for awhile... By the way, if you still want to go there you can (and I think it'll all work mostly). But I'm probably going to get to updating this version sometime soon, hopefully... I promise to try at least.

I spent a large part of the beginning of this past week getting things together for a feature for Sticky Art that will be in the Jan issue of PEELzine, a great sticker and street art magazine. A good friend of mine is helping out with some illustrations and characters as I mentioned before I believe. We're doing a three page feature in there and it turned out really great. I'm super excited about it!! Now I'm putting the finishing touches on the design and another good friend of mine designed a typeface/logo for it too, which I have to scan in and get together so that the designs can go to print and hopefully remain right on track. I'm having so much fun with this though, so I really do hope it all turns out alright.

Anyway, I should go do a little work before we go out tonight. I should also put some laundry in, so I can wear some clean clothes next week. Oh, check out the nerd image (the sticker I do) above in the icons to see my fotolog. I just started it, so there aren't many pics up there yet. Hopefully there will be. I've also been posting some stuff on Sticker Nation. I am going to try to either update my portfolio or put a new portfolio up sometime early next year too, if not before. So now I'm off to do some working. Until later!
