I see that look in your eyes
The one that says you want me
I search deep behind the blue
To try to understand what you see
Something is different today
Perhaps I've never looked this way before
You've seen me countless times
But still today there is a change
I want you to look this way at me
Why else would I make the effort?
Maybe I will do it more often
If you promise to look the same way next time
Why though should today be any
different?
Can you not look at me this way always?
I should not have to do so much for you
Can't you put in a little effort too?
It's all about your actions too
They always speak louder than your words
You may not tell me exactly how you feel
But deep down inside we both know
When you hold open the door for me
Or when you carefully touch my arm
I can feel what you cannot say
Though I wish that you could tell me
You don't say a word you just look
There is nothing wrong with that
After all, it's the look that gets me
It always brings me back in the end
So tomorrow things will change again
Will they go back to the way they were?
Or will tomorrow change forever?
What will you say to me?
In the end it's all pretty pointless
Just nothing more than a game
But that doesn't stop us from playing
Doesn't stop you from calling my name...
